Well… I've made it this far…
Sorry about not posting yesterday. I didn’t get enough sleep and with band camp and all I didn’t find the energy or time to post. So I’ll do two post today, as well as some other things.
By the way, our show is going extremely well this year. We’ve already set all of movement two and are starting to get music set to it. I’d like to take a few moments to thank my band for their hard work and supporting me, even if I’m not the strongest member of the band.
Okay, now for today’s tips:
Instead of using nails, using pins (like the tip for sewing) to hang light things on the wall (they won’t carry heavy things) These are easier to get in, and the marks don’t show up when you take them out. This is very handy for hanging hand drawn pictures on the wall.
This next one is going to be a craft. The jewelry box (I know, that was pretty typical for a teenage girl-I may be weird, but I’m still am one). Anyway, my jewelry box is double layered, and works pretty well. All it really is is a box with cardboard cut and secured with duck-tape to make compartments, and then to make the shelf above I just took some cardboard cut into the shape of the box did the compartments on that. A few tips for the jewelry box: Use felt to line the compartments. It looks nicer, and it’s better for the jewelry. If you want a area for rings take felt and fold it up, and you can store the rings between the folds.
Alright, I’m in a weird mood today, so I’m going to post a few pictures of artwork I’ve done and never scanned in or anything. These will not be appearing in the gallery, there exclusive to this post:
That was a painting for art class, the prompt was make a poster with a quote about doors.
This is Fira waiting for Dusk to come on his horse, done with chalk.
Sorry for this being sideways. This is a picture of Harmony, whose usually scarily cheerful actually looking upset for a change.
And this is going to be a uber-post because I’m also doing a game review for Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, which I finished recently. It was an interesting story, and I really enjoyed the game play, I thought that the mixture of puzzles and crime solving was well done. I also thought hint coins were handled well. But that ending was weird, and you had to accept at least three or four impossible things and explanations that made no sense. I think that if they had changed the conclusion for what was going on it would have been a better story.
Still, it was a fun game and I’d totally recommend it.
